The short version
The GILI 10’6 Air was a good-value, light, beginner-friendly inflatable, but you can’t buy it new any more: GILI Sports shut down in 2025.
If you already own one, it’s still a perfectly usable board; if you’re shopping, pick one of the current boards below instead.
We’ve kept our original assessment for owners and anyone looking at a used one, and added what’s changed.
Current version
There isn’t one. GILI Sports stopped taking orders in late 2024 and closed in 2025, according to Paddle Round the Pier, which covered the shutdown. When we checked in October 2026, GILI’s website was offline and the Amazon listing for the 10’6 Air package showed “Currently unavailable.”
What that means for you:
- No warranty. GILI’s two-year warranty and 60-day guarantee are gone with the company.
- Spare parts are harder to find. Fins, valves and the paddle aren’t available from GILI. Leashes and paddles are universal, but the snap-in fin is GILI-specific, so look after it and check fit before buying a third-party replacement.
- Buying used: check the seams and valve for slow leaks, inflate it to full pressure and leave it for a few hours. Our guide to how long inflatable paddle boards last explains what wear to look for.

Our verdict
Pros
- Light and easy to carry

- Came with everything you need
- Strong performance for the money
Cons
- Its light weight gets pushed around by wind
- No warranty or parts now the brand has closed
- Plain looks
Performance
These scores are our 2021 assessment of the board’s specs and design. They still describe the board if you own one.
Stability
9.0A 31” width and 6” thickness make it steady for most beginners on calm water.
Glide
8.0It tracks straight and glides well for a 10’6” inflatable. A longer hard board is faster, but this is above average for its size.
Maneuverability
7.5It turns easily on calm days. The trade-off for 19 lb is that wind pushes it around, which makes it tiring to paddle into a breeze. Check the forecast first; our guide to the best conditions for paddle boarding covers wind limits.
Ease of transport
9.5It packs into the included backpack and inflates in a few minutes. This is the board’s best feature.
Who it’s for
If you own one: casual, calm-water paddling for one adult, kept away from strong wind. Wear a PFD and a leash.
If you’re buying: look at a current board with a working warranty instead.

FAQ
Is GILI Sports still in business?
No. GILI Sports closed in 2025. Its website is offline and its Amazon listings are unavailable.
Can I still get my GILI board repaired?
Not through GILI. Small punctures can be fixed with a standard PVC patch kit; see our best inflatable SUP patch kits. For a failed seam or valve, a local paddle shop or inflatable-boat repair shop is your best bet.
Is a used GILI 10’6 Air worth buying?
Only at a low price and after a leak test. Without a warranty, a new budget board from a brand that’s still trading is usually the safer buy.
